3M E-A-R TaperFit 2 corded ear plugs provide a comfortable, individualized fit and excellent attenuation. Its smooth foam expands in the earcanal to help provide comfortable hearing protection. The TaperFit 2 Ear Plugs feature a tapered design that easily and comfortably fits into the ear to help reduce your noise exposure. Simply roll the earplug between your fingers, insert it in the earcanal. The low-pressure foam expands for a snug yet gentle fit that helps block high noise levels. Bright yellow color allows supervisors to conduct a quick visual hearing protection compliance check. Recommended applications include assembly and mechanical, chipping, chiseling, cleaning, drilling, furnace operations, grinding, heavy equipment operations, machining, metal repair, painting, pouring/casting, power fastening, riveting, sanding, sawing and welding. These earplugs are commonly used in the following industries: agriculture, automotive, chemicals, construction, general manufacturing, healthcare, oil and gas, and pharmaceuticals.

• *U.S. EPA specifies the NRR as the measure of hearing protector noise reduction. However, 3M makes no warranties as to the suitability of the NRR for this purpose. 3M strongly recommends personal fit testing of hearing protectors. Research suggests that users may receive less noise reduction than indicated by the attenuation label value(s) on the packaging due to variation in fit, fitting skill, and motivation of the user. Refer to applicable regulations or guidance on how to adjust attenuation label values. It is recommended that the NRR be reduced by 50% to better estimate typical protection.
